As we approach the end of the year, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported the James Bulger Memorial Trust in 2024.
Your generosity, kindness, and commitment make an extraordinary difference to the work we do and, more importantly, to the families we support.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve been able to offer more families a much-needed break at James’ Lodge, creating cherished memories during challenging times. Additionally, your contributions have allowed us to complete vital maintenance on the lodge, ensuring it remains a safe and welcoming sanctuary for all who visit.

This year, I’ve personally witnessed a significant increase in families reaching out for help—many struggling with the aftermath of abuse or crimes against their children, feeling unheard and lost. Supporting these families, connecting them with local MPs, schools, and resources, and advocating for answers and solutions is at the heart of what we do. Together, we ensure their voices are heard, and their needs are met.
I stand proudly alongside Denise Fergus as she continues to fight for Justice for James. Just this week, we saw sentences increased for another heinous crime committed by youths—an important step forward in the changes Denise has long fought for. Her efforts, such as her instrumental role in the introduction of Victim Impact Statements, have already created lasting change, and we will keep campaigning for proper justice and better support for victims’ families.
